Bakir on rare travel expeditions into the real world.

So let’s start! Tell us a bit about yourself. For example, name, profession, and personal interests.

Hello everyone. It is my pleasure to introduce myself to one of my favorite communities in the vast internet space. My name is Bakir; I am a 32-year-old tech/gaming geek currently working as a marketing manager and gaming specialist at Amra&Elma and Top Influencer Marketing Agency.

From the moment I had a comprehensive understanding of the world, my main interest

was technology and everything around it. But for a kid born in 1990, it has been an incredible road, tech-wise. It feels like yesterday we were living in a world without the internet. I watched as the internet went from a niche tool used by hobbyists and businesses to a global phenomenon.

And I was there as social media platforms like Facebook and Twitter emerged and transformed the way we communicate. It's safe to say that the 1990s was a time of significant change, and those born in that decade have indeed seen it all. From the rise of the internet to the advent of social media, we've witnessed some of the most significant changes in history.

And we're still here, watching as the world continues to evolve. Who knows what the next two decades will bring?

Interesting! What was your latest Hackernoon Top story about?

It was a story about how GTA V is actually still one of the most played games even though it came out 7 years ago. The fact that so many fellow gamers are still heavily putting in hours in the game made me want to do a story around it - and I’m thrilled everyone liked it.

Do you usually write on similar topics? If not, what do you usually write about?

Since I’ve been an avid gamer since the first Tetris game, I must admit that writing about games and the gaming world is my sweet spot. Other topics I enjoy writing about are the newest technologies, blockchain, and Metaverse.

Great! What is your usual writing routine like (if you have one?)

When it comes to writing, I am a creature of habit. I typically start my day by checking my email and responding to urgent messages. After that, I sit down at my desk with a cup of coffee and spend the next hour or so working on whichever project is a top priority at the moment.

If I'm working on an article, I'll start by researching and then jotting down a rough outline. Once I have a clear sense of what I want to say, I'll draft the actual piece. If I'm working on a more creative project, such as a short story or poem, I'll spend some time brainstorming before I start writing.

But regardless of what I'm working on, I always try to make progress on some level every day. Otherwise, it's too easy for me to get bogged down and lose my momentum.

Being a writer in tech can be a challenge. It’s not often our main role, but an addition to another one. What is the biggest challenge you have when it comes to writing?

My biggest challenge when it comes to writing is staying focused. With so many distractions just a click away, it's easy to get sidetracked. I was just recently working on a report on Just Chatting Twitch statistics for my agency, and before I knew it, hours had passed, and I hadn’t accomplished anything.

To combat this, I've had to develop some strict self-discipline. I set a timer for myself and make sure that I stay on task until the timer goes off. It's not always easy, but it's necessary if I want to get any writing done.

What is the next thing you hope to achieve in your career?

I've been working in my current position for a couple of months now, and I have loved every minute of it. I have learned so much and have had the opportunity to work with some fantastic people.

My primary goal is to build my digital agency blog to be one of the best in the niche. I want to continue to learn and grow as a writer, and I want to help my agency clients achieve their goals.

In addition, I am also looking to make a name for myself as an expert in the field. I have been guest blogging, and I am looking to get more involved in public speaking. I believe that this will help me build my brand and authority in the industry.

I am confident that I will achieve all of these things, and I can't wait to see what the future holds.

Wow, that’s admirable. Now, something more casual: What is your guilty pleasure of choice?

My guilty pleasure of choice has to be gaming if it fits the question. There's just something so addictive and fun about spending hours at my computer, losing myself in a virtual world full of challenges and goals.

Whether it's exploring new worlds or battling enemies, I love the feeling of being fully immersed in a game. Of course, I know that many people think of gaming as a waste of time. They see us gamers as lazy or anti-social, spending all of our time sitting in front of a screen while the real world passes us by.

But honestly, that couldn't be further from the truth. For me, gaming is an outlet for inspiration and creativity, a chance to challenge myself with intriguing puzzles and complex problems. And even when I'm not playing games myself, I still enjoy all the beautiful stories and characters within this vibrant community.

So yeah, maybe I am hooked on gaming, but that's not a bad thing! My advice? Don't knock it 'til you've tried it!

Do you have a non-tech-related hobby? If yes, what is it?

Soccer has been a big part of my life ever since I was a little kid. I love playing it with friends and just hanging out with the most important people in my life. Soccer is not only a great way to stay physically fit, but it's also a great way to bond with others and have fun.

It's one of the few things in life that I can always count on to make me happy. Whenever I'm feeling down or stressed, I know that playing soccer will always make me feel better. Even though I tend to work a lot, I still make sure to find time for my favorite hobby.

Thanks for taking time to join our “Meet the writer” series. It was a pleasure. Do you have any closing words?

Closing words, you say? Well, my friends, I hope you will never settle for anything less than happiness in this life. Whether facing crushing setbacks or soaring triumphs, remember to keep your eyes on the prize and never give up on your dreams.

As the great American philosopher Ralph Waldo Emerson once said, "All life is an experiment. The more experiments you make, the better." Let your experiments be fueled by confidence and relentless optimism, and I promise you will achieve extraordinary things.

So go forth with courage and conviction, my friends – never let anything stand in your way!
