TLDRvia the TL;DR App

What is the catalyst that drives our actions? Why do we do the things that we do?

I know, its a very broad and weird question to ask.

The actions we take and decisions we make are all a means to an end. There is always a certain result or achievement on the other side, even if we aren’t aware of it or never intended there to be one.

That’s the issue.

We spend most of our time ‘doing’ but to what end? It’s almost zombie like. Do we even stop to think ‘hold on a minute, is this generating any value for me?’ or ‘is what I’m doing now going to push me forward to my goal or just slow the process?’.

I personally believe a lot of people lack this kind of awareness because society has been indoctrinated to just follow and don’t ask why.

Ever since I began asking these questions, I started to do things with intent and purpose. My productivity soon sky rocketed as I was saying no to a lot of things and saying yes to the ones that were time/value maximizing. Not to mention, I had more clarity and a clearer mind throughout the day.

Go from this …

TO THIS!

Give it a go. Throughout the day, ask yourself.

‘What am I going to gain or generate from having done this?’

‘Is there something else I could be doing with my time that is more valuable?’

‘Based on my goals, what is the one thing I can do right now that will get me one step closer to that goal?’

Short post but that was the point. It wouldn’t make much sense if an article about time / value maximization was anything but that.

Here’s to a productive and goal smashing week!
