So let’s start! Tell us a bit about yourself. For example, name, profession, and personal interests.
I’m Sergey Baloyan, I’m the founder of X10 Agency. I work with different fintech projects, most of which are related to crypto. I’m really very enthusiastic about this industry since 2016 and it always brings some new ideas and trends that at some point seem pretty speculative, but at the same time have big potential to change many things.
Interesting! What was your latest Hackernoon Top story about?
I wrote a story about Play 2 Earn. I tried to explain it in simple words, so everyone can understand it and try if they want to. That seems to be a really big trend coming, so I decided it would be great if more people know about it. It mixes two big industries - gaming and crypto. And I know people who are really super excited about Play 2 Earn. I think that more and more games will include crypto and NFT elements inside.
Do you usually write on similar topics? If not, what do you usually write about?
Yes, I try to write mostly about the crypto industry and its trends. Also, as I work with a lot of projects, I see how it’s better for them to position themselves on this market, how to run promotion and marketing campaigns, how to build and manage the community. So I write about such things too.
Also, I am very interested in other disruptive industries, such as biotech, VR/AR, longevity, space, and so on. I’m running my own podcast about it (in Russian). So I’m going to write about all these fantastic things as well.
Great! What is your usual writing routine like (if you have one?)
It’s all simple: after a topic appears in my mind, I create a plan for an article and then fulfill it point by point.
Being a writer in tech can be a challenge. It’s not often our main role, but an addition to another one. What is the biggest challenge you have when it comes to writing?
Well, sometimes there’s such thing as ‘writer’s block’, I think almost everyone who writes faces something like this. But the main tip here is just to start writing :)
What is the next thing you hope to achieve in your career?
I’m going to start my own YouTube podcast with the biggest worldwide tech and crypto stars.
Do you have a non-tech-related hobby? If yes, what is it?
Chess, women, Muay Thai :)
What can the Hacker Noon community expect to read from you next?
I’m going to write more about the future of NFT, Play 2 Earn, and the crypto industry overall. And of course, other trends I see in this market. As well as to help good projects to build their communities and reputation.
