Reviewing your competitor’s ads is a great way to get insights into what they’re doing. However, that shouldn’t be your primary reason for reviewing said ads. Instead, here are some reasons for why (and how!) you can watch your competitors' ads on Google, Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn YouTube:

  1. To find out what, where and how your competitors are promoting: For instance, many B2B companies promote free content instead of products/services to get lead contact information. They then nurture the leads to make a sale instead of selling it outright.
  2. To stay ahead of the curve: Top competitors do not promote outdated products and services. By reviewing their ads, you can understand the mood of the target audience through messages and pictures.
  3. To differentiate yourself: Generic terms like "profitable conditions", "100% quality", and "highly qualified specialists" will get you lost in the feed amongst your competitors.
  4. To avoid repeating mistakes: Finding flaws in your competitors' ads can be a great way to avoid them in yours.
  5. To do better by taking advantage of weaknesses in your competitors' advertising strategy.
