Ocean Alliance, Kestrel Educational Adventures, and MRH.io are all proud to announce the 2nd Annual “Hack for the Sea” hackathon event, taking place in Gloucester, MA on Sept 15–17, 2017.

Together with technologists, oceanographers, and other subject matter experts you will be working to solve real problems for our ocean. This year’s topic is Finding Longevity and Sustainability in Volatile Times.

We’re so lucky to be able to hold Hack for the Sea in Gloucester, which is one of the countries oldest active fishing communities. September is also a perfect time of year to visit — the beaches will still be active, but considerably less crowded.

More details will be announced soon, including prize amounts, detailed rules, speakers, and lodging / transportation. For now, just SAVE THE DATE! Register by visiting http://hackforthesea.com
