What does it mean for you to win this title?

Thanks guys, it’s really lovely. I enjoy writing a great deal. So, this means so much to me, Adam, Kal, Joyce, Lene, Sam & Ry- as I have a team of people that have taught me over the years how to be a great writer and encourage me every day- They’re also always there when I need a shoulder to crypto on. So I love you all very much. :)

How do you or your company intend to embrace the responsibility of this title in 2023?

Me and my boys (we have a few girls now, too!) at Tech & Authors are going to keep slinging that unbiased technical education at you in poetic form and producing as many beautiful tech college text books as we can, because it’s what we love to do- and since you like it, we want to keep y’all happy and well informed! We write for the passion & to learn. So what are we all waiting for!? lol <3 Check out our latest book, The Nifty Encyclopedia! <3 It’s an AR/VR interactive book! You can find out more at Metaverse Publishing here.

What goals are you looking forward to accomplishing in 2023 (whether it be through company initiatives or your personal journey)?

I’ll be speaking at NFT.NYC again in April and got my first big book deal! So a lot of my friends are helping me promo with my new book! yay! I’m so happy, I’ve always wanted to be a writer and had to work so hard :D :D :D

I am also working with DeFiance Media and learning AI media and some other useful things; that’s been super fun and I pray the excitement continues.

My little tech incubator that includes my fav work husbands (& super geniuses J.P. & Steve) at, MassCrypto.io are releasing some really exciting projects next year, Bakeree.io , “The All-In-One “Go-Daddy” solution to NFT minting & storage” and OnionClub.io, a privacy focused social media app. We also finished our gaming build, 1Lab.Network, a gaming loyalty application, free for game publishers and requires no technical integrations or compromises on gameplay.

Which trend(s) are you most excited about in 2023? Share your reason.

NFTs with actual utility. Also, excited to see more blockchain & AI adoption, as we are entering the mainstream markets and media, more rapidly than I anticipated.

2022 had been crazy, especially in Tech - what with layoff, web3 fraud, and AI! Which trend are you most concerned about? What solutions can you think of? Be as brief or as detailed as you like.

None of the above, really. I’m more concerned there’s going to be further economic crisis, more wars and a global famine approaching. I’ve been trying to invent and invest in sustainable food solutions that reduce the ecological footprint on the planet.

Also, if you’re not focused on the SDG’s we have a very few years to gain a lot of traction, sadly, I don’t think we’re going to hit our goals, but I’m not trying to give up on the planet, and you shouldn’t either.

Therefore, please consider consuming and using less- its very important to reduce wastes, for our children and those who come after us. Please.

Share your biggest success so far and/or your biggest failure so far.

Honestly, I’m just living a disabled life super happy and doing what I want. I think my failures have become my greatest successes in life.

I never thought I’d be an award-winning author, be a leader in any way, especially not in FinTech- and I’m just really blessed all over. I’ve lost everything a couple of times in life, and I don’t see those as failures, I see it as wisdom gained and character built.

We would love your feedback on HackerNoon as a tech publication! How has your experience been with us?

Awesome. I love HN and been with you guys from the start on Medium & I’ll be with you forever, but y’all know that. /me hearts & luvs @HN <3

Any words of wisdom you’d like to share with us?

Yes. Let me shill to you with my greatest secrets because I’m almost 40 now and y’all need to know some essential life lessons:

  1. You’re loved.
  2. You are amazing.
  3. You can do great things in life.
  4. You make a difference.
  5. Today, make good choices because we reap what we sow.
  6. Remember, Crime (nor dishonesty) never pays. Kindness is a cure to most things. :)
  7. Make BFFs and there’s not reason to fuck over your enemies, just be happy and do great things.
  8. I believe in you & you should believe in yourself more bc you’re meant for great things.
  9. If I can do ‘this’, you can do a lot better, I’m just a disabled nurse that wont stop learning; while, you’re a magical person more capable than many that have walked before you.
  10. Happiness is a choice- pick it & don’t look back.

oh and bonus wisdom in honor of HN’s Star Trek theme:
