So let’s start! Tell us a bit about yourself. For example, name, profession, and personal interests.
I have an entrepreneurial soul and have launched several marketing agencies in different spheres, including digital technologies and blockchain. Last year I joined the AI/ML consultancy Daiger as partner and COO.
Interesting! What was your latest Hackernoon Top story about?
In my most recent 'Hackernoon Top Story,' I explored the effects that recent Apple policy changes might have on digital marketing. In particular, I discussed how App Tracking Transparency (ATT), a part of iOS 14.5, might change the role of AI in marketers' strategies.
Do you usually write on similar topics? If not, what do you usually write about?
Lately, I have been focussing on artificial intelligence and machine learning. However, with cryptocurrency and DeFi blooming as of recently, I feel like I may have something to say on that topic too. Look out for articles from me on those topics in the future.
Great! What is your usual writing routine like (if you have one?)
I try to pay attention to the latest trends and always check tech news to get an idea of what's going on. If I see some recent happening that fits my area of expertise, I go ahead and write an article. Then, I just sit down and write until the article is finished. Of course, a cup of black coffee is always at my side, even if I'm writing in the evening hours.
Being a writer in tech can be a challenge. It’s not often our main role, but an addition to another one. What is the biggest challenge you have when it comes to writing?
For me, the biggest challenge is finding topics for articles that really drive me. Once I've got a topic, everything goes smoothly from there.
What is the next thing you hope to achieve in your career?
My business partners and I would like to see Daiger become well-recognized as one of the fastest growing AI & ML consultancies in the Middle East. We especially want to gain recognition in the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia.
Wow, that’s admirable. Now, something more casual: What is your guilty pleasure of choice?
I like spending time on dance floors listening to electronic music. While Covid has been doing its best to stop me from doing that, I try to take every chance I get to go to a concert or club. I also really like standup comedy, and try to go to as many shows as possible.
Do you have a non-tech-related hobby? If yes, what is it?
With all the time I spend behind the computer, I try to spend as much of my free time as possible doing things that improve both my mental and physical well-being. I try to put some time aside to meditate each day. I do bodyweight exercises everyday between work tasks and a couple times a week I train at a boxing gym.
What can the Hacker Noon community expect to read from you next?
I'm putting the final touches to a few articles at the moment. In the near future expect a piece that discusses Facebook's recent rebrand and what it means for the development of artificial intelligence technology. Stay tuned!
