Advancing women in B2B product management via skills-based training and executive mentorship

SAN FRANCISCO — September 12, 2018 — Advancing Women in Product **(**AWIP), the organization empowering high-potential female product and tech leaders through equality of opportunity, is announcing the launch of a new South Bay chapter, located in the heart of Silicon Valley, to build a community that provides career development and networking opportunities for product managers (PMs).

“We are excited to expand the AWIP network to South Bay and bring our services to PMs and tech leaders within this community,” said Nancy Wang, CEO & Founder of AWIP. “With the gender ratio in enterprise-focused companies lagging far behind that of the tech industry, AWIP programming will aim to focus on business-to-business (B2B) and technical women PMs to increase female representation women.”

AWIP has grown to more than 3,000 members which showcases the need for an organization that empowers individuals to grow their technical skills, leadership abilities and expand their network to advance in their careers. The South Bay chapter will have regularly scheduled meetings and executive programming for technical women pursuing B2B and enterprise PM roles.

To celebrate this expansion, AWIP will host a panel discussion “Cloud SaaS Products for Hyperscale” that explores the best practices and challenges of enterprise product management.
