TLDRvia the TL;DR App

Our nervous system has evolved to generate fast responses to incoming signals of environment in order for the whole body to survive.

Environment has changed. Now, in most cases it is not required to generate fast response to incoming signals. Actually, in most cases it is better to generate reasonable, well thought and scientifically based response. And in most cases there is plenty of time for this. As well as other qualitative resources aimed to improve quality of decision.

Unfortunately, the world we as a specie have produced generates lots of incoming signals, most of which are quite rudimentary (food, sex, power). They usually come from business systems, created to exploit nervous system of people for personal gain of business owners.

Considering this two hypothesises I suppose that the basic for good decision making and thus potential for success is to eliminate noise and control range and intensity of incoming signals.
