For Nintendo fans who have maybe been waiting to buy a Nintendo Switch console, it might help to know that multiple online retailers have now restocked the beautiful Mario Red & Blue Edition of the Nintendo Switch. Currently, as of Monday, March 8, the console is still on sale online at BestBuy.com, Target.com, GameStop and Amazon.com for the price of $299.99.
This version of the Switch features a Mario-inspired redesign on the Switch console, Joy-Con controllers, and the Switch dock. The Joy-Con grips have a solid blue color, and the controllers and dock are red. It also comes with an appropriately redesigned and recolored Mario Red & Blue Edition carrying case, with iconic Super Mario Bros. artwork on it.
The restock of this special Switch version came right on time for Nintendo’s official Mario Day on March 10.
Fans will be able to buy discounted games and Nintendo products throughout the week in celebration of Nintendo Day.
Unfortunately, the only thing this special Switch release doesn’t come with is its own Super Mario game for players to enjoy. Gamespot noted this edition of the Switch sold out very quickly when it was initially released in February. So, gamers who are eager to get this version may not want to dilly dally past Nintendo Day.
If fans do want some games to go along with the Switch, Super Mario Odyssey is currently available for a discounted price of $38.99. There’s also the amazing The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, which can be purchased for a discounted price of $49.99. Ultimately, while the Mario Red & Blue Edition of the Switch doesn’t come with any games, there are at least options for gamers to try out some of the better titles for a cheaper price. Not to mention, it will still cost less than a PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X/S.
