The Fastest Way from Idea to Presentation.
Welcome to this first post on my new blog where I plan to share news, ideas, and tips for GitPitch users along with highlighting some of the amazing presentations created by the GitPitch community.
If you have ever worked with Git - on GitHub, GitLab, or Bitbucket - you are probably already familiar with the **README.md** convention. GitPitch introduces a new convention for Git users, the**PITCHME.md** convention.
GitPitch turns a**PITCHME.md** markdown file found in any Git repository into modern, responsive online or offline slideshow presentations. You can use your slide decks to promote, pitch or present absolutely anything.

It couldn’t be easier. To get started, there is no sign-up. And there is absolutely nothing to install. You simply use your favorite text editor and write your presentation content in Markdown. Then git-push to any repository on GitHub, GitLab, or Bitbucket.

The GitPitch Backstory
GitPitch began as an open source project. It’s something I created having spent over 20 years working as a developer and IT consultant. During this time I often needed to present technical knowledge, including designs, frameworks, APIs, and diverse technologies to wide ranging audiences.
And I often wished there was some truly simple yet effective way to deliver that content, using the tools I already know and love — Markdown and Git.
Now there is, it’s called GitPitch :). I hope you enjoy using it as much as I did creating it.
