On February 28, I was approached via LinkedIn by Syed Asif Sultan, the creator of Unfluffer. An AI-Tool that, among other things, removes everything superfluous from your texts. I created an account and started using it.

You will receive 50 coins to start with upon registration. You can go ahead with that. You pay one coin per result.

Aside

In the word unfluffer is the word fluff. Fluffy looks familiar. Our dog Diezel, whom we recently said goodbye to, was in the dog shelter and they called him Fluffy. Given his head of hair at the time, he hadn’t seen a hairdresser in months, not a crazy name.

TL;DR

Unfluffer is an AI tool that helps users write concise texts, including a different tone-of-voice.

WHAT IS IT

With Unfluffer you can rid the texts of the fluff and put the text together in a different way. In other words, you can make large pieces of text more concise.

You can play around with the tone, level, number of results and the desired length. And you can choose from a few languages.

EXPERIMENT

In a previous life I created and gave many training courses, workshops, and boot camps. A beautiful, valuable, and educational time. One of the hooks I used for this, was a document: Your Own Social Media Strategy in 7 Steps.

From this document I’ll take the part about ‘Time-bound’. The T of S.M.A.R.T. and translated it, well I didn’t: Google Translate did. I checked to see if the translation is correct.

“Set a time limit on your goal. Again, it becomes easier if you divide a large goal into smaller sub-goals (milestones). It is easier to estimate a time frame for a small project than for a large project. Smaller goals are easier and faster to achieve. Because you achieve smaller goals, you will also become more motivated to continue.”

If you enter this text into Unfluffer with the following settings:

Then you get these results:

And now with these settings:

You get these results:

In Dutch

You can also try another language. I took the piece of text from the document.

Do you also think it’s so crazy that we as humans must prove to the computer that we are not a robot?

I use the same settings, only now the Dutch language. Then you get the following results:

WHAT STICKS OUT

With large chunks of text, the Unfluffer has trouble adjusting it. I have seen it ending somewhere in the text. The solution is simple: smaller chunks of text. In my case it is sufficient to do it paragraph by paragraph. Or several small ones.

It helps me with the English language. It’s not my native language, that’s Frisian/Dutch, so I can really knit with words to get my point across. Unfluffer helps here to make this shorter and clearer.

CAN CHATGPT DO THIS?

Yes! You will have to start with processing Unfluffer’s settings in your prompt. That’s a plus for Unfluffer. The prompt with extra info then produces the following result:

CONCLUSION

Unfluffer is a handy tool to make your texts more concise and presents you with different variants. Worth a try!
