Tor Guard while low on my list (currently number 3) is one of my favorite VPN Providers, mainly because of how they have their device cap setup. Most VPN Providers set a limit to how many devices you can connect at one time, to help control the amount of traffic going to there Serves. This allows them to provide you the fastest connection speeds possible, but most set a max limit and you can have no more than that limit. These connection caps can range anywhere between 2 simultaneous connections (HMA VPN) and 6 simultaneous connections (Nord). TOR Guard does have a device cap of 5 simultaneous connections (included in your plan), but they do allow you to connect more devices for only $1.00 more a month per device. This is the only VPN Provider that I have found that does anything like this and is an extremely unique feature. While this is one of my favorite features that TOR Guard provides that’s not the sole reason it was put on my list. For all of the Customer Service buffs out there, TOR Guard has one of the fastest most accurate response times I have seen. They have a very friendly manor and are the best at getting you exactly what you are asking for. Proving that their Tech Support team knows what they are talking about and have a very accurate knowledge base. They wrap all of this up with a staggering response time of 45 seconds per response, the fastest response time I have clocked yet. Now, while device caps and great customer service are nice features to have, they are just icing on the cake when it comes to VPN Providers. The most important parts of VPN’s are their network, Logging policy, encryption protocols, Browser extension support and router support, lets start with their Network. Now, TORGuard doesn’t have the most robust Network out there but It is sufficient for the amount of traffic they receive. TORGuard has a very intermediate level network containing 38 vpn servers, 6 SOCKS proxies, 14 HTTP proxies and 1600 Ip Addresses world wide. While their Network isn’t the largest it is sufficient enough for the amount of traffic they receive, so you will never notice any difference between TOR Guard and a larger VPN provider. For all of us Anons out there the logging policies that our VPN Providers use are probably the most important part of the VPN Providers Service. TOR Guard is very meticulous when it comes to anonymity. They proudly offer a strict no logs policy, unlike some people that would rather hold onto them for several months. Now if logging polices are the most important part of the service then the encryption they provide would come in a close second. The encryption protocols that TOR Guard uses are OpenVPN, LLTP and PPTP also enabling you to connect VIA Tomato or DD-wrt routers. which will protect everything behind it saving you a lot on the device cap. Sometimes just being protected isn’t enough and you would like to tailor the service to your specific needs at that time. One of the strongest tools for this is a Browser Extension. These nifty little guys can usually offer additional features that the app itself can’t. While TOR Guard does have Browser Extensions theirs are Proxy extensions and are not connected to the VPN Network meaning your Internet Traffic is un-encrypted. For a truly tailored experience you need to be able to manipulate the ports you are using, allowing you to speed up your connection. While some VPN Providers fail to include this feature in their apps TORGuard does have functionality for this. They support both TCP and UDP port connections, enabling you too optimize your connection. While TOR Guard does have it’s flaws there are a lot of great features that it offers making it definitely worth checking out on your hunt for a VPN Provider.
