TLDRvia the TL;DR App

How many times have you heard the name Monstroid over the period of the last few years? Zemez made it possible for you to prolong your joy of using the family of these amazing themes together with the most popular page builder Elementor. In mid-August there was an astonishing release at TemplateMonster marketplace when an updated version of the Monstroid2 theme was announced.

Monstroid2 as of 2017 pales in comparison with what it has belome in 2018. This reminds of the another recent announcement and exactly the Doom Eternal. This is what I’m talking about:

Previous Monstroid2 looks like the Doom guy from Doom 4.

Whereas current Monstroid2 looks like Doom guy from Doom Eternal.

Generally, the theme became bigger and badder, it gained more skins, more blocks, more customization freedom, more features, more possibilities to create truly unique websites.

Let’s check out in details how do these themes differ and whey still have in common.

How Easy is it to Install These Themes?

Further I will show you step-by-step installation process of all three Monstoid themes but first of all few words about each of these themes.

What’s Monstroid as of 2016?

Monstroid is a hard mix of Cherry Framework with Elementor functionalities. You can easily create awesome websites with any of theme from M1 package but you will be limited by the design of a theme you choose (unless you make use of blocks and pages provided by Elementor builder.)

Basically it’s a bundle of 19 Elementor themes that you can install on your website.

How come Monstroid has Elementor themes onboard?

Before an updated version of Monstroid2 theme was released Zemez updated their previous flagship WordPress theme by making it compatible with Elementor builder. The idea behind that update was to give everyone willing to get a Monstroid theme ability to use it (the skins within the theme) with Elementor builder.

What’s Monstroid2 as of 2017?

As of 2016, using a custom page builder was a great idea. Zemez devs created a Power Builder which is basically a background pagebuilder where you can stuff your pages with custom content. What made this theme unique is a great number of skins (whose styles you could use independently in any other skin.)

What’s Updated Monstroid2 as of 2018?

Comparing to what it has become, current version of Monstroid2 is an ultimate tool one can use to build incredible number of unique pages.

Now let’s get back to the installation process.

How easy is installation on a scale from 1 to 5? I dare say that on-boarding system the so-called Monstroid wizard is an amazing thing that can help you install any of themes in a mere 3 minutes.

The most frequently made mistake is that people don’t read documentation and try to install wizard as a theme via Appearance >> Themes section, when Wizard is not a theme, it’s a plugin.

As you can see the installation process are almost similar, all three themes make use of the onboarding system (Wizard plugin) developed few years ago.

What’s Gonna Happen When we Get WordPress 5.0 Update?

Gutenberg is not compatible with any other builder known, it’s a desperate move from Matt, that’s meant to gain new audience and to make it possible for WordPress to be a competitor of Saas solutions and third-party website builders. At this moment we can say that you mustn’t use Gutenberg on production website since it’s still in beta version and is likely to break your website.

How Many Additional Designs are There?

**M1M2 (previous version)M2 (current version)**Since Monstroid is a sort of a bundle of Elementor WordPress themes you’re limited by design and functionalities of these themes.
