In this blog I will demonstrate deploying a Vue Content Curation App in 3 steps. The app is a simple content curation website built with Vue, Bulma and Cosmic JS by Cosmic Community Member Muhammad Althaf. In his recent blog he writes, “Building curated collections of resources and tools is an easy way to gain visibility in your community.”

Install and manage your Vue Content Curation App and all of its content from your Cosmic JS Bucket Dashboard. Simple. 😎 You can refer to the original tutorial below to build the app from scratch, or continue reading to simply deploy the Vue Content Curation App in 3 Steps.

We’ll be using Cosmic JS to install our example app, deploy and make content updates moving forward. Cosmic JS is an API-first Content Management Platform that allows developers to build apps in any programming language while giving content editors a familiar content editor to manage dynamic content from the cloud. If you haven’t already, get started by Signing Up for Cosmic JS.

1. Create a New Bucket

Your bucket’s name is the name of your website, project, client or web application that you are building.

2. Install the Vue Content Curation App

Cosmic JS gives you the ability to filter between programming languages such as Node.js, Vue.js, React, AngularJS and more.

3. Deploy to Web

Navigate to “Deploy Web App” located underneath Settings in your left hand navigation bar in your Bucket Dashboard. I clicked “Deploy to Web”. I can then edit Objects while my web application is deploying. You will receive an email confirming the deployment of your web application. If you encounter any issues during deployment, you may be routed to the Cosmic JS Troubleshooting Page.

Confirm Deploy Location and Branch

I’m using the content-ready app from Muhammad Althaf in the Cosmic JS Community, so I’ll use his Master Repo: https://github.com/cosmicjs/vue-content-curation-website
